Why do birds need satnav? Seriously, Garmin and Magellan are probably the best. Garmin is probably the best of those.

Well, I have a Garmin NUVI 350 and having seen other navigation units in action, wouldn’t trade mine for the world.
It is:
a) exceptionally easy to use - no buttons, all touchscreen.
b) the cheapest text to speech nav unit available (~ $325)
c) great at recalculating on the fly.
d) allows live traffic add-on.
I’ve never heard of a nav unit that can identify speed cameras and frankly, don’t trust a unit that would claim to do so. These units have limited space for mechanicals and software. I want mine dedicated to getting me to my destination, not worrying about where the local constabulary is gunning for leadfoot drivers.
