Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A MAGELLAN.
I have had lots of problems with their units, and to make matters worse, they have horrible customer service.
The last time I had to send my unit back for a warranty repair, they lost the unit. They were claiming they never received the unit. I had a confirmation slip that they did receive it. They were playing games with me. They would ask me to fax them the confirmation and claim they never got the fax, and all sorts of other games. They were just hoping I would get tired and just go away.
It took 6 months to get a replacement unit.

Ditto what the other guy said about Magellan. I’d skip Nextar also. They are a newcomer to GPS, so their firmware and hardware won’t be as polished as TomTom’s or Garmin’s. With the low prices, they had to save on the unit and probably on after-sales support. Garmin’s support is first-class and American-based.
