I am trying to decide on which GPS to buy. help?
Magellanmindi asked:
garmin, magellan, or tomtom?? i would buy one that’s around $200 or less so i probably wouldn’t be able to get one with text-to-speech even though I’d like to, but which one is better? they all seem great

Right now the Garmin Nuvi line of GPS Navigators seems to be the best bang for your buck. They have a really nice user interface and are easy to use. Garmin seems to be really in touch with their users as well and if you’re into customizing your Navigator the Garmin allows the most customization.
They are fairly decent priced and packed full of Points of Interests and all the road information you’ll need too!
You can find lots of information and great prices on GPS Navigators at

There are several available that will do basic navigation for you for that price.

Since you said you wanted text to speech, look at the TomTom ONE 130S. It shows it is $250 but it’s on sale for $200. There might be others with that feature as well.

You can buy a Garmin nuvi 350 on Amazon.com for $199.99. It comes with text-to-speech. I have been watching its price for a while, and it dropped from around $230 to $199 last week.
