Hi there, I don’t know much about the history of other countries colonized by Spain except for the Philippines. Jose Rizal wrote 2 part book masterpieces about the oppression of the Spanish Conquistadores & the Friars (priests) in his book: “NOLI ME TANGERE (TOUCH ME NOT)” & “EL FILIBUSTERISMO (THE FILIBUSTER)”. You may want to try the internet.
For video, you can try the life of Jose Rizal made by GMA Films starring Cesar Montano.
The few things that I know (which you might want to double check via the internet) are:
“d. Cedula” - is a piece of paper where you pay taxes because you live in the lands they occupy. It is similar to today’s Residence Certificate.
“e. Guardia Civil” - translated as Civil Guards. They are the soldiers of Spain.
“2-a. Magellan” & “2-f. Villalobos” are familiar names. Magellan was the first to land in the Philippine shores in Mactan, Cebu & he named the lands in honor of the reigning King of Spain at that time. Magellan was killed in battle by “Lapu-Lapu”. Villalobos was sent by Spain much later. The Philippines was a colony of Spain for more than 200 years (I think).
