Which Portable GPS navigation system?

I don’t want to pay for map updates or anything like that, so which one would be best? I know absolutely nothing about them.

If you want trouble free and ease of use I would go with the magellan 1200 it seems to be correct 99% of the time. I got rid of the tomtom because it had me turning into places that dont exist anymore. If you goto you can check out all the features of the Magellan 1200, also has a full selection of garmin nuvi’s.
