I have Nuvi 200 and I like it…..the only thing is in cities that have alot of road construction, it will mess you up because the maps aren’t always the most current and I think you have to pay to update it

I just purchased a Garmin 200 & made a 3000 mile trip. I love it !! wouldn’t travel without it. I’m sure there are better units out there with more features, but for the money this does the job just fine. Good Luck

I have the Garmin Nuvi 750 and its great. I get to the destination fast, avoids traffic and the graphics are great. It has a safety alarm code so if its stolen or lost no one gets your info on where you live, or your personal destinations. Its text to speech, so it will tell you the name on the street you need to turn and it will tell you if your destination its on the right or on the left. I love it, you should give it a try!!

I went for the Garmin nuvi because so many people that travel have recommended it. For my car, I have the nuvi 200 and it’s served me as well as any other product could.
For my motorcycle, though, I’d recommend the nuvi 350 for the bluetooth capability. It’s hard to hear the directions in the wind and a bluetooth under my helmet is a lot easier to understand. (And it’s really hard to read a map WHILE driving a motorcyle.)
After that, it’s just a matter of features vs price and how much it matters to you for YOUR application. But all in all, I don’t regret my choice.

There are a couple dozen products in the Nuvi range. Since we don’t know what features you care about, it’s hard to make an authoritative recommendation.
If, for example, you’re an outdoors type that values waterproof and ruggedness, Nuvi is not a good choice - the large glass touch screens and absence of IPX7 ratings are just deal-breakers.
If, OTOH, you’re a businessman and your GPS would never leave your vest pocket and you need international currency conversion and the ability to order a meal in languages you don’t actually speak, Nuvi totally rocks!
The user interface of Nuvi is very good. When I hand one of my 50-ish GPSes to a family member that just wants to get to place B and perhaps find a gas station or a Chinese restaraunt along the way, they get one of my Nuvis.
