portable gps.reception with an antena vs. without an antena?

Has anyone experienced better reception on a gps with an antena vs. one without one? I like the garmin nuvi 260 with doesn’t have an antena or the garmin nuvi 350 which does. They are both almost the same feature and pricewise. Would the antena support better reception? I travel all over the U.S. for work and need something reliable…Thanx!

All gps have an antena. Some are internal (not visable) and some are external, The external might get a little better reception in some cases.
